Rethinking Tradition: Contemporary Tibetan Artists in the West
Gonkar Gyatso, Karma Phuntsok, Losang Gyatso

October 28 - December 3, 2005, Emory University

Opening Reception: Friday, October 28, 2005, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Venue: Visual Arts Gallery, 700 Peavine Creek Dr, Atlanta, GA 30322. Right across from baseball field.
Born in Tibet and now working in the USA, Australia, and UK, three artists explore cultural migrations

and identity in this exhibition of oil paintings, photography, and mixed media drawings. A new generation

is sparking a modern Tibetan cultural revival and, in the process, challenging our assumptions about

Tibetan culture and art.
Rethinking Tradition: Contemporary Tibetan Artists in the West will be on exhibit from October 28 -

December 3, 2005, at the Visual Arts Gallery. Gallery Hours: Mon - Fri, 9:00 - 4:00 pm; Sat, 12:00 - 4:00 pm
